At the Petropolis Dog Training School, we are dedicated to creating a clear line of communication between pets and their owners.

Our training methods are based on proven, healthy, and reliable techniques. We strive to instill and sustain healthy, respectful, and happy dispositions amongst all the dogs throughout all of our training programs. We believe that obedience training is essential to having a safe, happy, healthy, and well behaved dog. Our programs range from basic pet obedience to advanced competition training.

We will help you teach your pet good manners, avoid bad habits, and eliminate unacceptable behavior. We have effective solutions for common difficulties, such as

Individual Evaluations

While each person has their own idea of how they would like their pet to behave, so does every pet have their own individual way of behaving. From basic obedience to severe behavior modification, we have the right program and methods to achieve success. Please contact us to arrange an appointment for a free evaluation.

Boarding Training

Daily training sessions to accomplish certain obedience commands or special needs while staying in our pet hotel. Weekly stays include a private session for progress review.

Day Care Training

Daily training sessions to accomplish certain obedience commands or special needs while attending our day care program. Each week includes one private session for progress review.

BOARDING TRAINING & DAYCARE TRAINING GOALS:

FIRST WEEK

• Walking nicely on lead
• Sit & Sit-Stay
• Down & Down-Stay
• Behavior Modification

SECOND WEEK - All of the above PLUS

• Climb (or other specific space)
• Command in Motion
• Command at Distance
• Come when Called
• Private Follow Up Lesson

THIRD WEEK - All of the above PLUS

• On Leash Inside and Outside
• Off Leash Inside
• Long Line Work Outside
• 4 Group Follow Up Lessons

Group Obedience Classes

Open Class Schedule on Saturday & Wednesday !
Obedience training at your own pace with effective methods that are fun for both you and your dog.
You will progress through five levels, from basic obedience to advanced training. You may take up to six months to complete the course.

Private Lessons

At Petropolis Training Center Or Your Residence
Please call us to discuss your particular situation and wishes.

For special training needs, we may recommend a customized program. A combination of boarding training, group lessons, and private lessons may produce the best results.
