Paul (Dr. Schifano) has been working with animals since the age of 15. Growing up in Michigan Paul knew early on that he wanted to be a Veterinarian. He worked at area kennels to gain experience. At the age of 16 his family purchased the nations longest running pet center called Silver Maple Farm which brought them to the St. Louis area. In 1988, the dream of Petropolis became a reality. Paul currently owns and operates both facilities. If you meet Paul you will probably also meet his Golden Retriever named Kitt. They are inseparable. In his free time you will find Paul hanging with his 4 boys or on the ski slopes. Sadly, Kitt doesn’t go skiing with Paul, Kitt doesn’t seem to mind though because he gets to stay at Petropolis.

Tammy
After 15 years of deadlines and crabby clients in the Graphic Design field, Tammy decided to change her career into something much more rewarding- animals. She started at the bottom of a local kennel, then moved to the Humane Society of Missouri as Director. After several years of rewarding work helping homeless animals, she landed the coolest job of all at Petropolis. Tammy is the General Manager at Petropolis- but forget the office atmosphere, her passion is working directly with the clients and their pets.

Brad
Brad starting working with animals in the 4th grade. Since then he has volunteered at Scovill Children’s Zoo and the Indianapolis Zoo. He also has worked at numerous pet stores and animal related facilities. Brad has been with Petropolis since 2000. If you know Brad you know he is the number one Buckeye Fan in St. Louis. Brad live his life for four things his Wife Tiffany , Daughter Addyson, Petropolis, and Ohio State Football. If you have ever met Brad he will leave you with a lasting impression.

If you have been to Petropolis you will remember Becky. She is usually the first person you will greet with a big smile and a bubbly laugh. If you know Becky, you should know her lil’ doggie Scrappy (the little dog having a bad hair day). Great customer service and Becky go hand and hand. Becky has worked in the pet industry for 6 years.

Harriet
Harriet has been in the Pet Industry for 7 years, during which time she has trained and mentored many Adoption Center volunteers at the Humane Society of Missouri. Harriet presently volunteers for Stray Rescue, and is the first person to offer a helping hand to anyone who asks. This includes tutoring in English, German and Spanish which she taught for many years. Harriet’s favorite pastime is donating time and effort to activist issues. Anyone needing a little lift to brighten your day she will certainly be there for you.

Rob, the “Dr. Phil” of Petropolis, has had an extensive career in the pet care field as a Professional Trainer, behavior modification educator, and conductor of drug search and police department training services. Golf and fishing are Rob’s favorite pastimes, but don’t ask when he’s had time for either one! But the clubs and fishing rod remain in his van, just in case…! Take a moment to speak with Rob and you will be struck by his charm, engaging sense of humor and caring nature.

Bradi
Small town girl transplanted to the big city, Bradi was born and raised with the corn and cows. After deciding she wanted something more to life than chickens and pigs, she sought out Petropolis' grooming school. Without quitting her job of teaching tap, jazz and ballet in the small city, Bradi would drive back and forth from Iowa to St. Louis to learn to groom dogs and cats. Although she was learning on dogs and cats, she would practice poodle trims on sheep and lion trims on the farm cats at home.
Bradi is our resident chef and the expert on Terrier trims. Not a mean bone in her body, Bradi has been tapping her way into our clients hearts since 2003.

Nancy is the one all the dogs flock to when they come in. She has been running our day care for nine years and working with animals for 21 years. Our Day Care pets really see her as a second mommy. She supervises the hotel with a lot of knowledge under her belt and we all think (including our pets) that we are very lucky to have her.
