Dog Boarding FAQs

All dogs boarded at Petropolis are required to have their Rabies, Distemper (DHPP), Bordetella vaccines. Visit our vaccination policy page to learn more.

Our hours of operation are 7:30am to 6:00pm on weekdays and 8:00am to 5:00pm on weekends, but we do offer after hours drop-off and pick-up. Please contact us at our Chesterfield location or St. Charles location to speak to a staff member about drop-off and pick-up times that work for you.

Nightly boarding rates range from $48-$73 depending on room size, with additional dogs at $36 per night. Activity packages range from $22-$43 per day. Rates may vary during peak seasons, so we recommend checking our Peak Calendar or calling for current pricing.

The nightly boarding rate includes your dog's spacious suite, premium dog food, daily cleanings, health monitoring by our trained staff, and medication administration. Activities are required and charged separately to ensure your dog stays enriched and stress-free during their stay.

We recommend bringing your dog's regular food (if they have specific dietary needs), any medications with clear instructions, and a familiar item from home like a blanket or toy to help them feel comfortable. Please avoid bringing valuable items, as they may be lost during play sessions.

We provide premium dog food as part of your boarding package, but we recommend bringing your dog's regular food if they're on a specific diet or have a sensitive stomach. This helps maintain their routine and prevents digestive upset.

Our staff can accommodate special dietary needs and feeding schedules. Please inform us of any allergies, dietary restrictions, or specific feeding instructions when you book your reservation, and we'll make sure your dog's needs are met.

We require at least one activity per day because enrichment is essential for reducing stress, maintaining your dog's mental and physical health, and ensuring they have a positive boarding experience. Activities keep dogs happy, engaged, and well-adjusted during their stay.

Depending on your chosen activity package, your dog will enjoy anywhere from a few 20 minute play sessions each day, up to 4 hours of supervised group play in our dog daycare. 

Yes, our trained staff performs daily visual wellness checks on all boarding dogs to monitor their health and comfort. If we notice any concerns, we'll contact you right away to discuss the best course of action.

Our staff is trained to administer medications to your pet during their stay (for no additional fee), with some limitations. Due to the risks, we do not administer injections such as insulin. 

Yes! All of our room sizes can accommodate multiple dogs from the same family. Additional dogs are $36 per night, and the room must be sized appropriately for the total combined weight of all dogs staying together.

We offer text updates as an add-on service, which includes photos of your dog's boarding adventure. This gives you peace of mind and lets you see how much fun your pup is having while you're away. At our Chesterfield location, Medium Rooms can also add webcam access for $15, allowing you to check in on your dog remotely during their stay.

Yes, we offer puppy boarding! Puppies must meet our vaccination requirements, which may differ slightly from adult dogs. Our puppy boarding is particularly beneficial for young dogs who are still getting comfortable in new environments.

Rooms range from Small (30 sq ft, up to 90 lbs total) to X-Large (120 sq ft, up to 400 lbs total). Larger rooms provide more space for bigger dogs or multiple dogs to get comfortable. All rooms receive premium food, regular cleaning, and health monitoring. Medium Rooms at our Chesterfield location also have optional webcam access.

We recommend booking as early as possible, especially during peak seasons and holidays when demand is highest. For regular weekends or off-peak times, booking at least 1-2 weeks in advance is advisable to ensure room availability and your preferred activity schedule.
