We have two locations: Petropolis Chesterfield at 16830 Chesterfield Airport Rd., Chesterfield, MO 63005 and Petropolis St. Charles at 3550 W Clay St., St. Charles, MO 63301. Visit our location page to learn more.

We are open from 7:30am to 6pm on weekdays and 8am to 5pm on weekends. We are closed on major holidays and are often only open for half-days on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve. We offer after hours pick-up and drop-off to make our hours of operation more convenient for you.

All dogs at Petropolis are required to have their Rabies, Distemper (DHPP), Bordetella vaccines. Cats must have their Rabies and Feline Distemper (FVRCP) vaccines. Visit our vaccination policy page to learn more.

Pet Empowerment is our positive approach to pet care that focuses on treating each animal as an individual with distinct needs, preferences, and personality traits. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach, we empower pets to make choices during their stay, helping them feel confident, comfortable, and happy. We will never use force and constantly work to make our services as stress-free as possible.

If you are a first-time customer, you may still book services through our portal, but a follow-up phone call with a team member is required.

Yes! There's no need to stay loyal to a single location. If you're a Petropolis client, you can use services at either our Chesterfield or St. Charles facilities at your convenience.

We're experienced in caring for pets with special needs across all of our services, whether medical, dietary, or behavioral. During your initial consultation or booking, please let us know about any special requirements, and we'll create a customized care plan. Our trained staff can administer medications, accommodate special diets, and work with pets who need extra patience or individualized attention.

We provide transparent communication throughout your pet's stay with us. We offer regular photo updates as an add-on for boarding, our Chesterfield location offers webcam access for certain rooms, and our St. Charles location has a live feed of our play area. Additionally, you are always free to call us for verbal updates on your pet.

All of our team members are experts in pet care. Petropolis staff members undergo training in animal behavior, safety protocols, and our Pet Empowerment techniques. We're committed to ongoing education to maintain the highest standards of professional pet care, and our team includes many certified pet care professionals through The Academy of Pet Careers.

Holidays and peak travel times are our busiest periods. While these are exciting times for us, it can make it harder for pet parents to seek services. We recommend booking well in advance before using our services. Check our Peak Calendar to see anticipated busy periods throughout the year and plan accordingly to ensure availability.

We welcome both dogs and cats at Petropolis. We have dedicated boarding accommodations specifically designed for cats, with our other services being catered towards dogs, who require a higher degree of care. We do not work with exotic pets like bunnies, birds, or reptiles at this time.
